True Type
Fonts
The downfall of
efficient Label production. This is where the rubber hits
the road. Don't use them with any labeling software on the
market if you can avoid them! Always check to see which
fonts you are using. You may have started with printer
fonts and lost them during an upgrade process or before
your thermal printer driver was installed to your system.
Label software will open your label and warn you....and
POOF! ..all of your fonts are converted to True type if
the printer is not the same one that you originally
designed the label with. Ouch. If you have ever
accidentally sent one of your Label jobs to an old impact
printer port while Windows thought you had a thermal
printer attached there, you will see a 50 fold difference in
the amount of data sent to the printer when using True
Type fonts versus Printer fonts. You may need to scroll
down the font list but the printer fonts are there if the
thermal driver was installed properly.
